NITROGEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK

NITROGEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK INTRODUCTION: In this article, we discuss nitrogen its important properties, and some incidents that happened in the past with people and instruments that deal with nitrogen. So, let's start: LIQUID NITROGEN INCIDENT THAT KILLED THREE TECHNICIAN OF NASA: The First space shuttle mission was named STS-1, the first orbital mission of NASA. This mission is uniquely described in this article due to the incident in which three technicians died due to inhalation of excess nitrogen of nitrogen. IMPORTANCE OF NITROGEN: Nitrogen is a crucial element in the periodic table due to many important properties. Nitrogen is a non-toxic & colorless gas that occupies 78% of the atmosphere. HISTORY OF NITROGEN: In the past, scientists had different opinions about this gas. For example, some scientists think it was brunt air because no combination occur in the presence of this element. Some believe it is very toxic and has no life because the environment fil...

     Introduction:

Air is important to survive life on Earth but mainly oxygen. Similarly, water is important for life and contains hydrogen and oxygen. Like all this, several elements play an important role in our life. Well, a discussion about all of them required to much time. So, in this article, we are taking an overview Oxygen Family.

    Let's Start:

    1. Oxygen:

Well, oxygen is the most popular element. Everyone knows about it and its purposes. Well, in chemistry oxygen is infamous for its oxidation properties which are useful but also cause many difficulties due to this property most metals like iron and zinc, etc., are oxidase which causes many problems.

    Properties of Oxygen:

    1. Oxygen is colorless, odorless, tasteless gas at STP (Standard temperature and pressure).

    2.  Oxygen is a very reactive element.

    3. While oxygen is useful for life but high concentration of oxygen is very toxic. Likewise, its allotropy ozone is also very toxic and poisonous.

    Uses and applications:

    1. Oxygen is used for many medical purposes such as hypoxia(low level of oxygen) and hyperbaric oxygen therapy(HBOT).

    2. As oxygen is a powerful oxidating agent that why used in many industries' applications and chemical reactions.

    3. Use in space exploration purposes as life supporting system or as oxidize for fuel.

    2. Sulphur:

Sulfur is very important because of its acid which is very important in chemistry known as "Sulphuric acid".

    Properties:

    1. Sulphur is not soluble in water but dissolves in organic solvents like benzene.

    2.  Sulphur is a very brittle element and that is why easily converts into powder.

    3.  Sulphur is very reactive and forms compounds with many other elements.

    Uses and Application:

    1. Sulphur is useful in the production of fertilizer because sulfur is very important for the growth of plants.

    2. Sulphur is the key element in producing sulphuric acid which is very useful in many chemical industries.

    3. Sulphur is used in the vulcanization of rubber which makes it more elastic, strong, and heat and wear-resistant.

    3. Selenium:

Selenium is similar to sulfur and that is why replaces sulfur in many compounds.

    Properties:

    1. Selenium is metalloid which means it shows both the properties of metals and non-metals.

    2. Selenium shows multiple oxidation states ranging from -2 to +6 with the most common state being +4 to +6.

    3. Selenium shows the property of semiconductors. That means it shows the property of conductivity only under certain conditions.

    Uses and Applications:

    1. Use as a drum in photocopy machines.

    2. Use in solar panel industries.

    3. Use as antioxidative.

    4. Tellurium:

Tellurium is a famous element for its rareness. It is almost 1 part par billions of Earth's crust.

    Properties:

    1. Tellurium is a metalloid means its properties are intermediate between metals and non-metals.

    2. Tellurium is a brittle, silvery-white, and semi-metallic element.

    3. Tellurium is a semiconductor which means its properties are intermediate between conductor and insulator.

    Uses and Application:

    1. Uses in many alloys to improve properties for potential uses.

    2. Uses in Special types of glasses which are useful in the optic fiber industry and in many more industries.

    3. Uses as a catalyst in many industries.

    5. Polonium:

Polonium is famous for its radioactive nature.

    Properties:

    1. Polonium is radioactive in nature and emits various types of radiation.

    2. Polonium is very reactive in its elemental form.

    3. Polonium is very toxic due to its radioactive nature.

    Uses and Application:

    1. Uses in thermoelectric generators which is very important for space exploration.

    2. Uses as a neutron source.

    3. Uses to study many phenomena of nuclear physics.

    6. Livermorium:

    Livermorium is a synthesis element.

    Properties:

    1. Livermorium is a radioactive element.

Not much is known about this element due to its short half-life.

    Uses and Application:

Because of its radioactive nature and short half-life, it has no particular uses.

    Conclusion:

Every element in the periodic table is unique due to its properties and application in our technological era and its future applications and that is why I believe chemistry is a very unique and extraordinary field of science learn about this is very important for us due to our understanding of this universe.

BOSONS: AND ITS SECRET POWER IN NATURE

BOSONS: AND ITS SECRET POWER IN NATURE  Introduction: Nuclear and particle physics, one of the most powerful branches of physics, deals with nuclear and particles present in atoms. In Nuclear and particle physics, they are the "Standard model of particle physics". In the standard model of particle physics, two divisions divide the particle into two categories known as "Bosons and fermions" . Fermions: Fermions are the particles that are responsible for the formation of all the ordinary matter in this universe. We discuss this in detail in the previous article. Fermions Bosons: Bosons are particles that are responsible for all the basic forces in this universe. Forces are of multiple types but for all the forces we humans know scientists select four forces and say that there are "Basic forces of universe". These are as follows: 1. Weak nuclear force 2. Strong nuclear force 3. Gravitational force 4. Electromagnetic force Particles of that force: These forc...

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory  Quantum field theory is a combination of quantum theory and field theory. It provides help in combining quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, and special relativity. Nature loves beauty. Like nature, science is also like a beautiful theory. The theory which gives answers to all the questions of nature. In the beginning, classical mechanics was the most beautiful theory because it could answer all phenomena of nature accurately. But as our technology improves we can deep dive into matter and energy. The logic of classical mechanics becomes unvaried and that is why we need another theory that can explain all the phenomena at the quantum level. Quantum mechanics was able to resolve all the questions of the quantum world and then now become the most beautiful theory of science. It explains many phenomena like  Quantum entanglement , quantum tunneling, and other such strange phenomena. But quantum mechanics also won't be able to ex...

Wave particles duality: History of Light

Wave particle duality: History of Light Light is a wave. Oh! sorry particle. Oh! sorry sorry both. Light is a particle or wave you decide after reading this article and leaving your answer in the comment after reading this article. Light According to Newton: Newton which is very famous in classical mechanics. Classic mechanics without Newton is not possible. Imagine the equations of motion and laws of motion which are very useful to describe any motion of a machine or for satellites. Our current technology is based on the phenomena of classical mechanics. And this can't be ignored how useful classical mechanics are in our daily lives. Newton thought that light is a particle to prove this Newton gave his corpuscles theory. According to Newton's corpuscles theory, "light is a particle called corpuscles". This theory is instrumental in describing most of the phenomena of light. But in many cases it fails, for example, to describe phenomena such as interference and polar...
