NITROGEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK

NITROGEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK INTRODUCTION: In this article, we discuss nitrogen its important properties, and some incidents that happened in the past with people and instruments that deal with nitrogen. So, let's start: LIQUID NITROGEN INCIDENT THAT KILLED THREE TECHNICIAN OF NASA: The First space shuttle mission was named STS-1, the first orbital mission of NASA. This mission is uniquely described in this article due to the incident in which three technicians died due to inhalation of excess nitrogen of nitrogen. IMPORTANCE OF NITROGEN: Nitrogen is a crucial element in the periodic table due to many important properties. Nitrogen is a non-toxic & colorless gas that occupies 78% of the atmosphere. HISTORY OF NITROGEN: In the past, scientists had different opinions about this gas. For example, some scientists think it was brunt air because no combination occur in the presence of this element. Some believe it is very toxic and has no life because the environment fil...

Beryllium: An ideal Element use in Web space telescope

    Space telescopes
Beryllium used in Space Shutters and in web space telescope

Beryllium is the fourth element in the periodic table. It is the second lightest metal after lithium. It is a shiny grey metal that has a very high melting point. It is an element also used in web space telescopes.

So let's start this article and explore this element:

    Discoverer of Beryllium:

Berylium is an element discovered by French chemist "Lewis Nicholas Bachmann" in 1798. This metal was isolated by two chemists "Fredrich Wohlor" from Germany and " Antoine Bussie" from french in 1828. This element originally known as "Glucinium" is derived from the Greek word "Glykys" which means "sweet in taste". In 1957 the metal was officially named "Beryllium" after the Greek word "Beryllos" means "Mineral Barrel".

Berlium is very reactive that why it can't be found in its pure form. Beryllium is obtained from the minerals "beryl, bertrandite, chrysoberyl, gadolinite, and Phenakite".

    Alloys of Beryllium:

Beryllium is light-weight, high melting point, and non-magnetic. Beryllium alloy with Bronze does not produce sparkle when being hit against a stone or metal. That is why it is used in cutting and dealing with pipes containing burning fuel such as petrol. Other alloys of beryllium include its alloy with copper which makes them six times stronger than copper alone. Whereas, beryllium alloy with copper gives them superpowers such as high melting point and make them non-magnetics. This alloy is useful in electrical switches and radars.

One alloy of beryllium is known as "Gypsy Gold" because of its properties it similar to gold.

The addition of beryllium with other metal give them useful properties such as hardness, and strength and makes them corrosion-resistant.

    Uses of Beryllium metal:

Beryllium is very useful because of its properties.

    1. Beryllium is transparent to X-rays and used in X-ray machines in hospitals, research centers, and industries.

    2. In nuclear reactors beryllium is used for making neutron reflectors, they are used as electron moderators.

    3. Beryllium alloys because of their light weight used in aerospace industries and structural components of space shutters.

    4. Beryllium is an excellent conductor of electricity which makes it useful in the electronic industry.

    5. Beryllium is used for neutron production. If an alpha particle hits beryllium then beryllium releases a neutron.

    Beryllium a health hazard:

As we all know beryllium is very toxic and it is hazardous for health also. But if someone inhales beryllium powder then What happens:

Beryllium is very dangerous and poisonous in this condition. Beryllium badly affects the lungs because of the "Berylliosis or chronic beryllium disease" disease. This is a very dangerous disease that is also caused by lung cancer.

That is all about Beryllium a strange element, which is very toxic but also useful in many forms.

I have a question for you. If beryllium is toxic then How do we identify that it has a sweet taste?

BOSONS: AND ITS SECRET POWER IN NATURE

BOSONS: AND ITS SECRET POWER IN NATURE  Introduction: Nuclear and particle physics, one of the most powerful branches of physics, deals with nuclear and particles present in atoms. In Nuclear and particle physics, they are the "Standard model of particle physics". In the standard model of particle physics, two divisions divide the particle into two categories known as "Bosons and fermions" . Fermions: Fermions are the particles that are responsible for the formation of all the ordinary matter in this universe. We discuss this in detail in the previous article. Fermions Bosons: Bosons are particles that are responsible for all the basic forces in this universe. Forces are of multiple types but for all the forces we humans know scientists select four forces and say that there are "Basic forces of universe". These are as follows: 1. Weak nuclear force 2. Strong nuclear force 3. Gravitational force 4. Electromagnetic force Particles of that force: These forc...

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory  Quantum field theory is a combination of quantum theory and field theory. It provides help in combining quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, and special relativity. Nature loves beauty. Like nature, science is also like a beautiful theory. The theory which gives answers to all the questions of nature. In the beginning, classical mechanics was the most beautiful theory because it could answer all phenomena of nature accurately. But as our technology improves we can deep dive into matter and energy. The logic of classical mechanics becomes unvaried and that is why we need another theory that can explain all the phenomena at the quantum level. Quantum mechanics was able to resolve all the questions of the quantum world and then now become the most beautiful theory of science. It explains many phenomena like  Quantum entanglement , quantum tunneling, and other such strange phenomena. But quantum mechanics also won't be able to ex...

Wave particles duality: History of Light

Wave particle duality: History of Light Light is a wave. Oh! sorry particle. Oh! sorry sorry both. Light is a particle or wave you decide after reading this article and leaving your answer in the comment after reading this article. Light According to Newton: Newton which is very famous in classical mechanics. Classic mechanics without Newton is not possible. Imagine the equations of motion and laws of motion which are very useful to describe any motion of a machine or for satellites. Our current technology is based on the phenomena of classical mechanics. And this can't be ignored how useful classical mechanics are in our daily lives. Newton thought that light is a particle to prove this Newton gave his corpuscles theory. According to Newton's corpuscles theory, "light is a particle called corpuscles". This theory is instrumental in describing most of the phenomena of light. But in many cases it fails, for example, to describe phenomena such as interference and polar...
