NITROGEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK INTRODUCTION: In this article, we discuss nitrogen its important properties, and some incidents that happened in the past with people and instruments that deal with nitrogen. So, let's start: LIQUID NITROGEN INCIDENT THAT KILLED THREE TECHNICIAN OF NASA: The First space shuttle mission was named STS-1, the first orbital mission of NASA. This mission is uniquely described in this article due to the incident in which three technicians died due to inhalation of excess nitrogen of nitrogen. IMPORTANCE OF NITROGEN: Nitrogen is a crucial element in the periodic table due to many important properties. Nitrogen is a non-toxic & colorless gas that occupies 78% of the atmosphere. HISTORY OF NITROGEN: In the past, scientists had different opinions about this gas. For example, some scientists think it was brunt air because no combination occur in the presence of this element. Some believe it is very toxic and has no life because the environment fil...

Ture Potential of Thermodynamics: Entropy And Heat Death of Universe

Ture Potential of Thermodynamics: Entropy And Heat Death of Universe

    Introduction:

All the events in this universe. From the formation of stars to galaxies, the formation of planets, the formation of life on planets, and even the formation of the universe these events obey the laws of thermodynamics.

In this article, we are talking about the following concepts:

    1. What are thermodynamics and the basic concepts which are necessary to understand them.

    2. Laws of thermodynamics

    3. Why is thermodynamics important?

    4. Entropy and its importance

    5. What is the heat death of the universe?

    Let's start:

What are thermodynamics and the necessary basic concepts to understand them:

    Thermodynamics:

Branch of physics that deals with the relationship between different forms of energy and the ways by which energy is transferred and transformed.

In this branch, we talk about the heat and relationship between energy, and that is correct because around us major mechanical energy dissipates as heat in the form of friction, resistance, and many such things. Electrical energy dissipates heat as it flows through the wire and so on.

    Basic Concept of Thermodynamics:

System: The specific portion of the universe under consideration.

Surrounding: All the universe around the system is surrounding. Or the Universe outside the system.

Consider it like a city, if someone studies about city let's suppose its population then this city is a system and all the things around this city are surrounding.

    Properties:

    1. Intensive properties: Independent on the substance(temperature, pressure).

    2. Extensive properties: Dependent on the substance ( mass, volume, energy).

    Laws of thermodynamics:

As our understanding of thermodynamics increased, we formed many laws and established many machines upon these laws.

Laws of thermodynamics are very important and similar to other laws play a very important role in the workings of this universe.

First start with the first law of thermodynamics. Read the previous line again. First start with the first law. Let's forget what I think?

    First Laws of thermodynamics:

These laws deal with energy and are also famous for laws of conservation of energy.

"According to this, energy can't be created not destroyed but it changes from one form to another."

But I have a question if energy is not created then according to these laws before the Big Bang lot of energy is present. And from where this energy comes from.

I thought this. I hope someone proves this and He will get a Nobel prize. But anyway let's come back to our topic again.

Well, these laws are established by Scientists "RUDOLF CLAUSIUS" and "WILLIAM THOMSON (LORD KELVIN)".

    Second Laws of thermodynamics:

These laws relate to the direction of natural processes and the concept of entropy.

" According to these laws, the entropy of the system always increases with time. "

What is entropy talked about in this topic later in this article?

Well, this law is given by "Rudolf Clauius" and "Lord Kelvin".

    Third law of thermodynamics:

The third Law of thermodynamics says that:

" If a system reaches absolute Zero then this kind of system has minimum entropy. "

    What do these laws mean?

To understand this law we first understand absolute zero. Absolute zero is the point where a body has no heat energy meaning no motion of molecules.

If you see the video of Absolute Zero on the What If YouTube channel you know about this and how its effect occur on humans. But don't worry about like the speed of light this temperature can't be reached. Only humans try to reach as close as possible but do not attain this.

Ok! I hope all the understanding of this topic is fulfilled. Now, let's jump back to the topic.

    Why is thermodynamics important?

Thermodynamics is important because of our current technology based on thermal engines. If you say that now the times have changed and we all use electricity then but if I say that this electricity which we all use majorly comes from thermal engines which run turbines.

And if in future we use solar, wind, hydroelectric, and other such technology which don't use thermal engines. Then heat loss of electricity when it flows through the wire causes a huge impact on our life.

If we use superconductor wire or some relative technology then laws of thermodynamics that build refrigerators and such similar technology can't ignore its importance.

That is why this branch of physics must be mastered by every engineer so they build better and better machines and our technology improved.

    Entropy and its importance

    What is Entropy?

Entropy is the measure of disorderness or randomness. Or Entropy is the spread of energy.

Entropy is the most important topic of physics which determines the arrow of time, and why things become disordered with time? and give an answer to our most important question way the universe works in this way.

    Entropy is of two types:

    1. Low Entropy:

Low Entropy means more order and a random state.

    2. High Entropy:

High Entropy means an unorder and non-random state.

What is the Heat death of the Universe?

One day I mean at the end of the universe when the last black hole, star, and other such energy source evaporated then energy is so spread that nothing random thing has happened again.

This is the end of the universe called the "Heat Death of the Universe". Not worry about this day because it comes billions of years after your death but what happen if you are saved what if technology like transhumanism, or sometimes genetic medicine makes you immortality then what happens?

Is humans if present in that era overcome this problem? Well, this is only a hypothesis. We until now not known about what is present before the Big Bang? And what going to happen in the future in the last days of the universe?

    Conclusion:

Physics is very important because of our understanding the nature. And its branches also impact us greatly like electrostatic, electrodynamics, and electromagnetism which give us a deep understanding of electricity and charges.

Thermodynamics is an important branch of physics that deals with heat and that why useful in our technologists not just in technology but also in determining why the universe behaves like this?

This is a most fundamental but important concept of nature. This determines every around us and everything in this universe. This is the true reality of nature.

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory  Quantum field theory is a combination of quantum theory and field theory. It provides help in combining quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, and special relativity. Nature loves beauty. Like nature, science is also like a beautiful theory. The theory which gives answers to all the questions of nature. In the beginning, classical mechanics was the most beautiful theory because it could answer all phenomena of nature accurately. But as our technology improves we can deep dive into matter and energy. The logic of classical mechanics becomes unvaried and that is why we need another theory that can explain all the phenomena at the quantum level. Quantum mechanics was able to resolve all the questions of the quantum world and then now become the most beautiful theory of science. It explains many phenomena like  Quantum entanglement , quantum tunneling, and other such strange phenomena. But quantum mechanics also won't be able to ex...

HALOGEN FAMILY: THE MOST REACTIVE FAMILY OF THE PERIODIC TABLE

HALOGEN FAMILY: THE MOST REACTIVE FAMILY OF THE PERIODIC TABLE Introduction: The halogen family contains fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine. These elements are know for their reactiveness. This family contains many reactive elements known including fluorine which is one of the most reactive non-metals in the periodic table.  We are starting to talk about this family and its unique properties which blow your mind.   So, let's start: Fluorine: Fluorine is a very reactive non-metal. It is because of the fact that it has higher charged nuclei which are not shielded by electrons. That is why it attracts other element's electrons and thus forms compounds with them. Properties of fluorine: There are the following properties of fluorine: 1. Fluorine as discussed earlier is extremely electronegative which means it attracts electrons of other elements. 2. Fluorine is a highly reactive element. 3. Fluorine is very toxic and causes many disorders in the bodies of anima...

Nitrogen: Cool Element very Important for Life

Nitrogen is a very useful and abundant element in the atmosphere. About 78% of the atmosphere is composed of nitrogen elements. Nitrogen is a quite chill and cool element. Joke about Nitrogen: A scientist took a selfie while he was drinking liquid nitrogen He was quoted as saying "It was the coolest shot I ever took" Properties of nitrogen : Molecular weight: 14.01g/mol Boiling point: -195.795 degrees c Melting point: -210 degrees c Density: 1.251g/L Appearance: Colourless gas(at room temperature and pressure), Colourless liquid and solid. Isotopes of Nitrogen: Nitrogen has two stable isotopes N-14 and N-15. N-14 is the most abundant element in the atmosphere at 99.6% and N-15 is about 0.4% of this atmosphere. Each isotope has its own use for scientific and engineering purposes. Nitrogen Cycle and Nitrogen Fixation: First, all games start with atmospheric nitrogen which is composed of about 78% of the total atmosphere. But there is a problem plants and animals can't use ...
