NITROGEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK

NITROGEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THINK INTRODUCTION: In this article, we discuss nitrogen its important properties, and some incidents that happened in the past with people and instruments that deal with nitrogen. So, let's start: LIQUID NITROGEN INCIDENT THAT KILLED THREE TECHNICIAN OF NASA: The First space shuttle mission was named STS-1, the first orbital mission of NASA. This mission is uniquely described in this article due to the incident in which three technicians died due to inhalation of excess nitrogen of nitrogen. IMPORTANCE OF NITROGEN: Nitrogen is a crucial element in the periodic table due to many important properties. Nitrogen is a non-toxic & colorless gas that occupies 78% of the atmosphere. HISTORY OF NITROGEN: In the past, scientists had different opinions about this gas. For example, some scientists think it was brunt air because no combination occur in the presence of this element. Some believe it is very toxic and has no life because the environment fil...

Carbon family: The most important family human know about

CARBON Family : The most Important Family Humans Know about

Carbon is a unique element. It's personally my favorite but you like it too after knowing its importance in life. Because it is an element of life.

Carbon has a family in which carbon is the father. Just joking. Think about this. Carbon and its family members are very important in our lives because carbon life-forming element because of this we are here.

Silicon which is important for technology. Germanium which is also very important for technology and tin and lead which were used in the past and were the reason for the win and loss of the empire. Tin is used in armor for protection and lead compounds in water give humans many dangerous results.

    Carbon Family:

The carbon family contains carbon, of course, silicon, germanium, tin, lead, and flerovium.

Well, carbon is an element of life. Because most of the compounds are important for life. If some exoplanets contain large amounts of carbon compounds then this is a strong chance of life on that planet.

    Silicon base life:

It is a very popular theory in the scientific community that silicon-based life is possible. That means some aliens contain compounds of silicon instead of carbon.

    Carbon:

    DNA

Carbon is also known for its contribution to life. Carbon compounds are so important that chemists study carbon compounds into separate branches of chemistry called "organic chemistry."

    Properties:

    1. Carbon has the unique property of catenation which means it forms long compounds which is an essential property for organic compounds.

    2. Carbon has the property of isomerism which means it compounds with is same molecular formula but has different structures which gives them useful properties.

    3. Carbon allotropy is also very famous for example, diamond, graphite, and graphene.

    Uses:

    1. A carbon compound with hydrogen called hydrocarbon is used as an energy source by humans. Examples are petrol and diesel.
    2. Diamond which is an allotropy of carbon is used in jewelry. Graphite is used in pencil and graphene is used in electronic current.
    3. Carbon is also used for the purification of water and air.

    Silicon:

    Silicon wafer

Silicon is the brother of carbon. Don't believe me. I say this because silicon shows many properties of carbon. That is why many scientists think that silicon-based life is possible.
What do you think about this?

    Properties:

    1. Silicon is a semi-conductor which means that it shows the properties of a conductor only at specific conditions and becomes an insulator at normal conditions.

    2. Silicon is not very reactive and forms a protective covering of oxide.

    3. Silicon reacts with halide to form silicon halide.

    Uses:

    1. Used in semiconductors, transistors, and other electronic components.

    2. Used in the production of solar cells, ceramics, and glass.

    3. Also used in many alloys.

    Germanium:

Germanium is named after Germany. Germanium is mostly used in optical cables and semiconductors which makes them useful in technology. Every normal person has the effect of deficiency of such elements which they can't know about.

    Properties:

    1. Germanium is less reactive and forms a protecting covering of oxide.

    2. Germanium is semiconductor. That means they show the property of the conductor only under special conditions but remain insulator at normal conditions.

    3. Germanium has an oxidation state of +2 and +4.

    Uses:

    1. Germanium is used in solar cells.

    2. Germanium is used in optical cables.

    3. Used in infrared optics because they are transparent to infrared light.

    Tin:

Tin is a very soft metal. Its bar can be bent with a hand with little effort.

    Properties:

    1. Tin is soft, malleable and ductile.

    2. It melts at a very low temperature of about 231.93 degrees Celsius.

    3. It has the unique property of resistance to water corrosion. But notice it can be corrosion with acid and alkali.

    Uses:

    1. Tin is used for joining pipes and electrical circuits.

    2. Tin electroplating is useful for preventing the corrosion of various metals like iron, zinc, and lead.

    3. Tin alloy known as indium-tin-oxide is used in your phone because of its ability of transparency and conductivity.

    Lead:

Lead is a heavy metal in the carbon family. Lead and its compounds are very poisonous. Lead is a less active metal.

    Properties:

    1. It is heavy metal and denser than most common metal.

    2. It is soft and malleable with a low melting point.

    3. Its unique property is its high corrosion resistance.

    Uses:

    1. Lead is used in batteries. Lead acid batteries are very popular in vehicles and other electrical equipment.

    2. Lead is used as a shield barrier in radioactive sources in the lab.

    3. Lead compound is used in paint, pigment, electronics, and many components but due to its toxicity and environmental impact its use is reduced.

    Flerovium:

Flerovium is a radioactive element. No such know about this element yet.

    Conclusion:

Carbon family plays an important role in our life technology and many past civilization. Well, every element gains importance as very know about them. That carbon family importance can't be negotiated easily.

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory

Quantum field theory: The most beautiful theory  Quantum field theory is a combination of quantum theory and field theory. It provides help in combining quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, and special relativity. Nature loves beauty. Like nature, science is also like a beautiful theory. The theory which gives answers to all the questions of nature. In the beginning, classical mechanics was the most beautiful theory because it could answer all phenomena of nature accurately. But as our technology improves we can deep dive into matter and energy. The logic of classical mechanics becomes unvaried and that is why we need another theory that can explain all the phenomena at the quantum level. Quantum mechanics was able to resolve all the questions of the quantum world and then now become the most beautiful theory of science. It explains many phenomena like  Quantum entanglement , quantum tunneling, and other such strange phenomena. But quantum mechanics also won't be able to ex...

HALOGEN FAMILY: THE MOST REACTIVE FAMILY OF THE PERIODIC TABLE

HALOGEN FAMILY: THE MOST REACTIVE FAMILY OF THE PERIODIC TABLE Introduction: The halogen family contains fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine. These elements are know for their reactiveness. This family contains many reactive elements known including fluorine which is one of the most reactive non-metals in the periodic table.  We are starting to talk about this family and its unique properties which blow your mind.   So, let's start: Fluorine: Fluorine is a very reactive non-metal. It is because of the fact that it has higher charged nuclei which are not shielded by electrons. That is why it attracts other element's electrons and thus forms compounds with them. Properties of fluorine: There are the following properties of fluorine: 1. Fluorine as discussed earlier is extremely electronegative which means it attracts electrons of other elements. 2. Fluorine is a highly reactive element. 3. Fluorine is very toxic and causes many disorders in the bodies of anima...

Nitrogen: Cool Element very Important for Life

Nitrogen is a very useful and abundant element in the atmosphere. About 78% of the atmosphere is composed of nitrogen elements. Nitrogen is a quite chill and cool element. Joke about Nitrogen: A scientist took a selfie while he was drinking liquid nitrogen He was quoted as saying "It was the coolest shot I ever took" Properties of nitrogen : Molecular weight: 14.01g/mol Boiling point: -195.795 degrees c Melting point: -210 degrees c Density: 1.251g/L Appearance: Colourless gas(at room temperature and pressure), Colourless liquid and solid. Isotopes of Nitrogen: Nitrogen has two stable isotopes N-14 and N-15. N-14 is the most abundant element in the atmosphere at 99.6% and N-15 is about 0.4% of this atmosphere. Each isotope has its own use for scientific and engineering purposes. Nitrogen Cycle and Nitrogen Fixation: First, all games start with atmospheric nitrogen which is composed of about 78% of the total atmosphere. But there is a problem plants and animals can't use ...
